US dollar index is trading at 99.57, recovering from the lows of 98.92 in yesterday’s session after Consumer Confidence was reported higher than expectations. House Speaker Ryan made encouraging statements on his conference's ability to get health care, tax reform, and deregulation done. Yields started to turn positive and extended their gains on the back of comments from the Fed. Fed Chair Janet Yellen did not talk about monetary policy but she said the U.S. economy overall is recovering and the job market improved substantially since recession. Fed vice Chair Fischer, on the other hand, spoke about the policy, saying that two more hikes seem to be about right while FOMC voter Kaplan wants gradual removal of accommodation.
